Getting started
Where can I get Facet?
On Google Play, for Android 10 or later. The iPhone version is coming soon. You don't need an account.
Why does Facet ask for access to my photos?
To show and sort your gallery. Facet only reads your photos; it never moves, edits or deletes them. It's designed for access to all your photos. If you allow only some, the rest won't appear in Facet.
Why are some photos missing?
Check Facet's photo access in your phone's settings, then look in Filtered and Review. On Android, photos stored only in the cloud appear once they're saved on your phone.
Filtered and Review
Where do filtered photos go?
Nowhere. They stay in your gallery. Facet shows them in Filtered, which opens with your fingerprint, face or screen lock.
What is Review?
Photos Facet isn't sure about. Decide whether each one belongs in Library or Filtered. Your decision always wins.
Facet put a photo in the wrong place.
Open the photo and tap "Why this photo?" to see the reason, then move it. You can also change how strict Facet is in Settings.
Why is analysis slow?
Facet analyses everything on your phone, so a large library takes a while the first time. It runs faster while your phone is charging and slows down on battery.
Privacy
Does Facet change what Google Photos or my Photos app shows?
No. Facet is a separate gallery. Open it when you show someone your phone.
Does Facet upload my photos?
No. The Android app has no internet permission, so it can't. See the privacy policy for details.
What happens if I uninstall Facet?
Your photos stay exactly as they are. Facet's sorting and your decisions are deleted with the app, so after reinstalling it analyses your photos again.
