Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms cover Facet, the photo gallery app for Android and iPhone, and Facet Pro. Facet is published by Facet Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17441311), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. By installing or using Facet you agree to these terms.
Using Facet
You may use Facet on your own devices for personal use. Don't copy it, resell it, or take it apart to get at its code or models. Facet is licensed to you, not sold.
Your photos
Facet only reads your photos and videos. It never moves, edits or deletes them. You stay responsible for your photos and for keeping your own backups. How Facet handles your data is in the Privacy Policy at facetapp.io/privacy.
Sorting is automatic and can be wrong
Facet sorts photos on your phone, and it can make mistakes. It is not a security product, and it doesn't promise that a particular photo will be kept out of your everyday view. Check before you hand your phone to someone or share your screen.
Facet Pro
Facet is free to use. Facet Pro adds paid features and is bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play, under their terms. Yearly is a subscription with a free trial where offered. It renews each year until you cancel, which you can do at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; cancel before the trial or period ends to avoid being charged. Lifetime is a single payment and doesn't renew. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and can change for new purchases. If a subscription ends, your custom rules stay saved but unused, and the Default setting applies.
Refunds
Apple or Google handles refunds for purchases made through their stores. On iPhone, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, use your Google Play order history. If something goes wrong, email hello@facetapp.io and we'll help.
Changes to Facet and these terms
We may update Facet, its features and these terms. If we change the terms in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app or on this page. Continuing to use Facet after a change means you accept it.
Our responsibility
Facet is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from using Facet or from a photo being sorted wrongly, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Facet Pro. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your legal rights as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you also keep the protection of your local law.
