How to organize photos on your phone
A camera roll fills up with screenshots, receipts and near-duplicates. These steps keep the photos you care about easy to find.
Use albums
Create an album for each thing you look for often, such as trips, family or pets, and add photos to it. Photos stay in your camera roll too.
Mark favorites
Tap the heart on photos you want to find fast. Both Apple Photos and Google Photos have a Favorites view.
Keep screenshots and documents apart
Both phones group screenshots in their own album. See Screenshots out of the camera roll.
Show your phone with fewer surprises
The Facet app sorts private photos, screenshots and documents out of your everyday gallery on its own. It doesn't move or delete anything.
